Batch rename files

Add prefixes, suffixes, or sequence numbers, or replace text in file names, then save renamed copies as a ZIP. Your original files are not changed or deleted.

Files are processed on this device. Names and contents are not saved automatically or sent anywhere. Original files are never changed or deleted.

Files

Up to 50 files. Each file: 10 MB; total: 20 MB; ZIP: 25 MB. Folders are not included.

Rename options

Added at the start of each new name.

Added before the file extension.

Replaces every matching string in the name before the extension. Regular expressions are not used.

The number is placed after the prefix and before the original name.

Renaming files

Choose files, set a prefix, suffix, sequence number or text replacement, and preview the new names. Save renamed copies together in a ZIP. The original files and their names stay unchanged.

Extensions are preserved. Replacement applies to every matching part of the name except the extension and does not use regular expressions. Sequence numbers follow the file order supplied by the browser. Duplicate names and names or characters that may cause problems when saving are rejected.

Limits

Up to 50 files, 10 MiB per file, 20 MiB total input and a 25 MiB output ZIP. New names may contain up to 240 UTF-8 bytes. Folders are not supported. Files inside the ZIP are stored without compression. Files and names are not automatically saved or transmitted.
