Split an image into a grid

Choose one still PNG, JPEG, or WebP image and divide it into a grid of 1–10 rows and 1–10 columns. Number tiles either across each row from left to right or down each column from top to bottom. Preview the tiles and save numbered PNG files in a ZIP. A 1×1 grid creates one PNG of the whole image.

Supported input and limits

  • One file up to 20 MiB, 12 MP total, and 8,000 px on each side. The grid can contain up to 100 tiles. A setting that would create an empty tile is rejected.
  • Boundary pixels are assigned once, so the tiles cover every part of the source without gaps or overlap. Previews are reduced to a combined limit of 1 MP; saved tiles keep their source pixel dimensions.
  • Tiles are saved as PNG. Transparency is kept. EXIF orientation is applied, but photo metadata such as date and location is omitted. JPEG pixels are based on the browser’s decoded image.
  • Still PNG, JPEG, and WebP images are supported. Animated images, damaged images, and headers that cannot be verified are rejected. A browser or device may still fail to render an image within these limits.
  • You cannot choose a custom crop area.

The image and settings stay in this browser and are not saved or sent. Use “Save numbered ZIP” to download the generated tiles.
