Choose a screen, window or tab to share. One frame is captured and sharing stops right away. Sharing only the window or tab with the table is safest.

How to use it

  1. Choose, paste or capture an image of a table.
  2. Drag over the image to enclose just the table.
  3. Press “Find rows and columns”. Candidate lines appear: ruled lines are used where they exist, otherwise the gaps between text.
  4. Move, add or remove lines until they match the table.
  5. Choose the text language and press “Read text”. The text goes into the cells, and you can fix any cell directly.
  6. Use “Copy for spreadsheet” to paste into Excel or Google Sheets, or save as CSV or Excel (.xlsx).

What is not fixed automatically

  • Merged cells, vertical text, handwriting, tables photographed at an angle and complex tables without ruled lines will not get correct lines automatically. Add or remove lines to fix them.
  • In tables without ruled lines, a cell with a line break may be split into two rows. Removing the line between them joins them into one cell.
  • Misreads (0 and O, 1 and l) can happen, more often with small text.

How values are handled

  • Every value is kept as text. Leading zeros (007), date-like values (2026-10-03) and amounts with separators ($12,800) are not converted.
  • In the Excel file, every cell is saved as text. Excel may show a “number stored as text” hint.
  • Values that start with “=”, “+”, “-” or “@” and may be treated as formulas are counted and reported, but not changed.
  • Moving a line puts the text back into cells without reading again. Any fixes you typed into cells are undone when that happens.

Limits

  • Images up to 50 MB and 50,000,000 pixels.
  • Tables up to 200 rows, 50 columns and 2,000 cells. Read larger tables in parts.
