How to use

The first location in the list is the reference. The date and time you enter are local time in the reference location.
“Set as reference” changes the reference while keeping the same moment: the inputs are rewritten to the new reference’s local time.
Locations are time zones (for example America/New_York or Asia/Kolkata), not countries. The tool does not guess a time zone from your language or country. It starts with this device’s time zone and UTC.

Daylight saving time and date changes

Offsets are not fixed: they are calculated for each date and time with this browser’s time zone data. On days when the clocks change, the day has 23 or 25 hours, and the list has that many rows.
If you enter a time that does not exist because the clocks go forward, it is calculated with the offset from before the change and shown as the time after the change (a notice explains this).
A time that occurs twice because the clocks go back can be set to the first (before the change) or second (after the change) occurrence.
Across the international date line, a location can be on the previous or next day, occasionally two days apart.

Working hours

Working hours are checked in each location’s local time (the same hours for every location). If the end is earlier than the start, the shift runs past midnight.
“Hours when everyone is working” lists full hours in the reference location that fall within working hours in every location (checked every 15 minutes). In places offset by 30 or 45 minutes, an hour that is only partly inside working hours is not included.
22:00–07:00 is shown as night or early morning. Public holidays, weekends and local working customs are not considered.

A link containing the date and time, locations and working hours is created only when you press “Create a link to this setup”.
Only the working hours are stored on this device. The date, time and locations are not stored.

Limits

Up to 6 locations, dates from 1 January 1970 to 31 December 2099. Future daylight saving rules can change by law, and results depend on how up to date the browser’s time zone data is.
