Create a QR code

Create QR codes for URLs, text, or Wi-Fi connections and save as PNG or SVG.

QR code type

The URL is encoded as entered; query parameters and symbols are kept. Maximum 1,600 UTF-8 bytes.

Create a static QR code

Enter a URL or text and save the QR code as PNG or SVG. Processing stays in the browser; the input is not saved automatically or sent elsewhere.

Input and capacity

  • The input limit is 1,600 UTF-8 bytes. Japanese text, accented characters, and emoji can use more than one byte per character.
  • QR capacity also depends on the error-correction level. Choose M, Q, or H. A higher level can tolerate some dirt or damage, but leaves room for less data.
  • The URL is encoded as entered. It is not shortened, stripped of query parameters or symbols, or routed through a redirect.

Images

  • Save as PNG or SVG. There is a white margin four modules wide around the code.
  • Choose a maximum image size of 512, 1,024, or 2,048 px. Each module uses a whole number of pixels, so the actual square image may be smaller than the selected maximum. Output is capped at 2,048 px per side.
  • If your browser cannot save PNG, try SVG instead.

Supported features

  • Dynamic codes, visit tracking, URL redirects, and logo overlays are not supported.

Wi-Fi connections

Select Wi-Fi and enter the SSID, security type, and password. Supports WPA/WPA2 Personal, WEP, open networks, and hidden SSIDs. SSIDs must be 1–32 UTF-8 bytes; passwords must be 1–128 UTF-8 bytes. Line breaks and control characters are not accepted. Spaces, symbols, and letter case are preserved. Open networks do not include a password.

WPA3-only networks and enterprise authentication (EAP) are not supported. This page cannot test network connectivity or verify credentials. Connection support depends on the scanning device and app.
